Spray foam insulation, when used with acrylic coatings for roofs can offer many advantages, such as: superior insulation(reducing heating and cooling costs), durability, weather resistance, and structural support. Polyurethane spray foam used for roofs, can be applied to almost any surface- whether it's a metal building or a flat roof. Because it's seamless and there are no breaks in the membrane, you avoid leaks that you may find with other types of roofing materials. The spray foam used for roofs is similar to that of spray foam insulation. It is also applied with pressure and proper temperature, expanding, filling and sealing crevices, cracks and voids. However, it is a higher density foam and once the desired thickness and drainage slope is achieved, it is coated with a protective acrylic coatings. This is a watertight, UV protective membrane, ensuring protection from wind, sun, rain and snow. Once the foam is applied to the roof, it's ready to walk on and cures within minutes. The longevity of a polyurethane foam roof can be indefinite with proper care. Reapplication of acrylic coatings will help ensure the life cycle. However, if the roof has reached it's life cycle, there is no need to tear off the previous roof- we just power wash the roof and reapply the foam and coatings. The coating materials are offered in a variety of colors to meet your needs and add to the aesthetics of your home or building! Polyurethane foam roofs can be applied to any roof- from single/multi family homes, to commercial buildings, agriculture buildings, crop storage sheds, barns, tanks, etc. |
