Meet Mike Rethke, Owner/Operator Although born in Milbank, SD, I’ve been raised in the Longmont area since 1983. My family moved from a family farm in Milbank to Longmont to begin a new journey. I currently consider Mead my home with my wife, Candice and our 3 rough and rowdy boys, Terek, Lane and Brayden. My dad owned and operated a urethane business from the time I was 13 years old and I begin working with him about 17 years ago. We've traveled to many states, completing jobs in Washington, Idaho, Wyoming, Oklahoma, Kansas and all over the state of Colorful Colorado! We obtained many commercial jobs as well as residential; insulating water storage tanks, crop storage sheds, agricultural buildings and were even able to create an indoor water fall out of foam for a church in Bird City, Kan.! We also applied urethane foam roofs with acrylic coatings and did many roofs in the Colorado area including tearing off over a 30,000 square foot single ply roof for the Wray Hospital in Wray, Colo. and replacing it with a polyurethane foam roof, as well as several roofs on the CSU campus in Ft. Collins. After my dad chose to make Kansas his home, I decided to venture off on my own with Total Spray Foam Services, LLC. and continue my passion and dedication to offering the highest quality work! I've set up my own rig and have added a few more pieces of equipment than what I had working with my dad! In this green friendly and conscious world we are becoming, I believe urethane foam is a great fit. It’s not only environmentally friendly, but also lowers our energy needs. I also love playing in the dirt and operating equipment, so in 1994, I started a very successful excavation business. I've worked for many home owners and builders throughout the years, including John Laing Homes at many of their development sites. I’ve been able to offer a diversity of quality work to my customers including: digging/backfilling foundations, grading, installing septic systems, water lines and meter pits, demolition, hauling materials, snow removal, etc. During this time, I also continued to work with urethane foam. When I'm not working, I love experimenting in my garage! With energy sources becoming invaluable and energy prices outrageous, I love trying to incorporate ways to help. I'm currently in the process of experimenting with creating hydrogen gas as an alternative fuel source! Wouldn't that be a great thing? Thank you for visiting our site and I look forward to working with you in the future! |
